Job Overview
FillaRole is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Elevator Mechanic Helper to support certified elevator mechanics in Regina. This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in physically demanding environments.
You will assist with installation, maintenance, and repair activities while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Move tools, equipment, and materials as required
- Assist tradespersons and apprentices with daily tasks
- Help read and interpret blueprints
- Support testing of newly installed equipment
- Assist with disassembly, repair, and replacement of parts
- Help adjust and maintain mechanical components
- Support preventive maintenance programs
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate digital and written maintenance logs
- Follow all safety and site procedures
Qualifications
- Secondary school certificate preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Able to pass criminal record, drug, and alcohol screening
- Valid driver’s licence (verification required)
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads
- Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and working at heights
- Organized, reliable, and team-oriented
- Own elevator hand tools and required PPE (steel-toed safety boots)
